STEP 2 Completing Your Pool Training
Once you have completed your E Learning program you are then ready to take the next step and book your place to
complete your dive course.
There are a few ways to complete the pool sessions required for your PADI eLearn to dive course and then finish your
certification.
Option 1: 5 Day Open Water Course (Itinerary...)
The most popular option is to join our 5 Day Learn to Dive course. Here your course is broken down into two components – 2 half days of pool training at our 5 star PADI training and continuing with our 3 day 2 night referral course. (Available every day except Sunday) Price $725 per person.
Option 2: 4 Day Open Water Course (Itinerary...)
The pool sessions are completed in 1 full day with a private instructor at our 5 star PADI training facility and continuing with our 3 day 2 night referral course. (Pool training available Sundays only - 3 day liveaboard dive trip departs every day except Tuesday) Price $1025 per person.
The Options below include completing the pool sessions only of the eLearn to dive course and finishing the rest of the course with another company.
Option 3: 2 Day Pool Referral (Itinerary...)
Pool training sessions only - Complete the 2 half days of pool training at our PADI 5 star training facility. (Available every day except Sunday) Note: This option will let you complete the confined water portion of the PADI Open Water Course. Now you can choose to continue and complete your open water dives with us or another PADI Dive Operator. Price $160 per person (conditions apply)
Option 4: 1 Day Pool Referral (Itinerary...)
Pool training sessions only - Complete the pool sessions required in 1 full day with a private instructor at our 5 star PADI training facility (Available Sundays and Mondays only) Note: This option will let you complete the confined water portion of the PADI Open water Course. Now you can choose to continue and complete your open water dives with us or another PADI Dive Operator. Price $300 per person.
Please Note: Upon arrival at our training centre in Cairns you will be required to complete a Quick Review Quiz to refresh your knowledge and understanding before you commence your pool training.
Course Requirements:
- Complete Quick Review Quiz
- Ability to swim 200M + Ability to survival float for 10min
- Minimum age is 12 years, with no maximum age
- Dive medical certificate – must be done in accordance with Australian Standard AS4005-1
- E-learner completion confirmation (Important: Please remember to print a copy of your confirmation once completed)
It is a requirement by Queensland Government Law that you complete a compulsory medical assessment to the Australian Standard AS4005-1 (AS4005.1 Medical Questionaire). The cost is $55 - $100 (If completed in Cairns) and this is payable directly to the doctor. Since it is Local Government Regulation, medical certificates obtained in another country may not be valid in Australia unless the certificate states that it has been done in accordance with AS4005.1.
Since some medical conditions may prevent you from participating in diver training program, we recommend that you contact us if you have any concern with your medical condition to avoid disappointment.
If you haven’t already completed your medical we recommend you obtain your dive medical at The Cairns 24 Hour Medical Centre located on the Corner Florence and Grafton Streets, Cairns. The medical centres phone number is 4052 1119 and it is recommended you mention that you are completing your dive course with Pro Dive Cairns.
